My Mid-Year Predictions for GRAMMY Awards Record of the Year

There have been some massive, massive songs that have taken the top spot and stayed for a while so far this year...here are seven songs that all have a very good shot at getting a Record of the Year GRAMMY Nomination for next February's show...do you agree?

Just Give Me a Reason -- Pink and Nate from FUN
A total GRAMMY darling, Pink has been nominated for far less successful tracks then this (my fave track on her never-ending album "Truth about Love").  Plus it doesn't hurt that Fun's front man is her dueting partner as Fun took home a few GRAMMYs of their own earlier this year.

Blurred Lines -- Robin Thicke and Co.  This has become the song of the summer and it's been #1 on digital, Adult, Pop Songs, etc. It's so dang catchy and it has a lot of people involved which GRAMMY voters love spreading the love.

Radioactive -- Imagine Dragons:  probably going to get a Song of the Year, Album of the Year and Best New Artist nom...and this Song has crossed over to Pop as well as Dance thanks to some stellar remixes.

Cruise -- Florida Georgia Line:  GRAMMY voters (especially the Nashville voters) love to have country included in the big 4 categories and this has taken on a life of its own thanks to a crafty rap remix.

Same Love -- Macklemore and Ryan Lewis is the pair to be come GRAMMY time and this emotional powerhouse has been picked up as anthems of human rights, marriage equality and now is heating up the charts.  This is a gay anthem if there ever was one and it was written and performed by two straight guys....nominations here they come.

Black Skinhead - Kanye:  if we can stop talking about Kimye long enough to listen and play this track (my fave from his ode to, well, himself) should get multiple noms come December.

Also a great shot is "Lucky" from Daft Punk featuring Pharrell!
