DEW TOUR ANNOUNCES EXPANDED MUSIC INITIATIVE INCLUDING DJ/ATHLETE COLLABORATIONS WITH DJ SKEE FOR ORIGINAL EVENT INSPIRED SONGS
Dew Tour to Feature Biggest Lineup of Live Performances Including
Lupe Fiasco and Wolfgang Gartner in Ocean City, Md.
Burr Ridge, Ill. – August 15, 2012 – The Dew Tour today announced a partnership with hip hop DJ and radio personality DJ SKEE, SKEE TV and Build Destroy Music to create ten original songs, as well as a digital series around the Dew Tour sound. The tracks will be completely original and serve as the theme song and complete score to the 33 hours of NBC Sports broadcast coverage of the 2012 Dew Tour. Build Destroy Music’s roster of sought after producers and DJ's created this content exclusively for the Dew Tour. The Dew Tour consists of three marquee events that are premium action sports and lifestyle festivals. The partnership expands on Dew Tour’s new bigger, better model that features the most comprehensive on-site music lineup in the tour’s history, kicking off in Ocean City, Md. with headliners Lupe Fiasco and Wolfgang Gartner.
As part of the creative process Dew Tour athletes including Steve McCann, Bucky Lasek, Greg Lutzka, Kyle Baldock and Colton Satterfield, joined SKEE and producers THX and Smashtronauts in the studio providing inspiration and feedback during the creative process. For the first time the athletes will be co-producers in the music featured at the Dew Tour, enhancing athlete integration as part of the new Dew Tour model.
The ten original tracks include a theme song that will be featured in the show open throughout the entire season, along with three original songs per event. The original event tracks will encompass the identity and character of their respective Beach, City and Mountain location. You can preview the Dew Tour broadcast show open featuring the theme song track “Omnivore” produced by Ian Osbourne as well as the Dew Tour NBC promo spot featuring track “Drop Top II” by SKEE producer THX on the Dew Tour website.

Kicking off the 2012 Dew Tour season is the biggest music lineup in Dew Tour history, with nine acts performing over three days at the Pantech Beach Championships in Ocean City, Md. Headlining the weekend is hip hop artist Lupe Fiasco and EDM superstar Wolfgang Gartner. Music starts Thursday night with a set by DJ RAC during the GoDaddy.com Surf Expression Session starting at 8:30pm on the beach. Friday night brings Theophilus London opening for Lupe Fiasco beginning at 9pm, and Saturday night features an all EDM lineup led by Wolfgang Gartner, Two Fresh and DallasK, following a daytime Saturday beach set with three regional bands Rights of Ash, The Perfects and Vital.
