The actress Kristin Chenoweth was released from the hospital after she was injured Wednesday during the filming of the CBS series “The Good Wife.”
In a statement on Thursday, Jill Fritzo, a publicist for Ms. Chenoweth, said: “Kristin has been released from the hospital and is home recovering. She thanks everyone for their prayers and well wishes.”
Ms. Chenoweth, a Tony Award-winner and star of musicals including “Wicked” as well as television series like “Glee” and “GCB,” was injured Wednesday after a scaffolding fell at the Brooklyn location where “The Good Wife” was filming.
Ms. Fritzo told The Associated Press that Ms. Chenoweth had been hit in the head and taken to the hospital. A spokesman for the New York Fire Department told The New York Times that a call was received at 5:07 p.m. that afternoon about a woman who was hit by scaffolding at that Brooklyn location, and that the woman had been taken to Bellevue Hospital with minor injuries. The spokesman did not identify the woman.
Ms. Chenoweth is to play the role of a political reporter in the coming season of “The Good Wife.” CBS said in a statement that she was struck when “a gust of wind blew a lighting silk out of place.” Press representatives for the network did not immediately reply to a request for comment.*****
We're so glad she's going to be ok -- and of course CBS didn't respond because they want to take no responsibility in the accident afterall, "a gust of wind" caused it... Happy Birthday, KC, as you turn 43 on July 24th!!
