Mariah Wants to Know Where Her Hit Is

So Mariah's new album "Memoirs of an Imperfect Angel" was supposed to be released by now and if you heard the first single "Obsessed" you probably were wondering why they would have released it at all. It was probably the least memorable single from Mariah since...well, ever. Rumor on the street is that her next single is going to be a cover of Foreigner's 1984 hit "I Want to Know What Love Is." I am hopeful about this single because as you recall she usually knocks covers out of the park -- Journey's "Open Arms," and remember "I Still Believe"? Unfortunately Wynona covered this cover years ago and even made it into a modest club hit when remixed. I'm still wondering why no one has covered the Orleans' "Your Still the One"... Anywho, churning out albums is good if you're trying to stay in the game provided that you have one great single (that's all you need out of the lot). Starting off with a dud (thank you, Whitney) is costly but if you have a power follow-up then you just might still, well, glitter.
